Wax-sealing grafting method for old branches of daye tea tree

The invention provides a wax-sealing grafting method for old branches of a daye tea tree. A grafting period is selected to be from an overwintering budding period of the tea tree to an initial periodof budding. The method comprises the steps: scion branch selection, scion branch collection, scion scissoring, scion waxing, selection of seedling rootstocks, scion cutting, cutting of rootstocks, scion insertion and interface sealing and binding. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, on the one hand, the method employs a side cutting mixed grafting method of blending the side grafting and cutting grafting, thereby solving a problem that a conventional grafting method is low in rate of survival because the grafting is liable to cause water loss or waterlogging; on the other hand, the method achieves the grafting with the seedling rootstocks of the daye tea tree through collecting a few of new types of daye tea trees or the branches of new types of trees, and then achieves the culturing of a
