Primary color optimization method for three-primary-color display, and display device

The invention discloses a primary color optimization method for a three-primary-color display. The method comprises the steps of firstly, determining a primary color number, white point color coordinates and white point brightness of the display; secondly, selecting a uniform color space (UCS) and a target color gamut for carrying out color gamut evaluation, and giving the boundary and the color gamut volume of the target color gamut in the selected UCS; thirdly, selecting value ranges (which can be continuous or discrete value ranges) and initial values of light source color coordinates of primary colors; fourthly, performing calculation to obtain a shape of a display color gamut realized by combining the coordinates of the primary colors in the selected UCS, and normalizing the white point brightness of the display color gamut to white points of the target color gamut; fifthly, performing calculation to obtain the volume of an intersected region of the display color gamut and the target color gamut; and six
