The method comprises the following steps: firstly activating the 5A molecular sieve; then adding the activated 5A molecular sieve, anhydrous citric acid and n-butanol intoa reaction vessel; and carrying out an esterification reaction under microwave irradiation to obtain tri-n-butyl citrate, wherein microwave irradiation power is 100-500 W, microwave irradiation time is 3-7 min, and microwave irradiation temperature is 100-140 DEG C.
