The present invention provides an absorbent article which does not readily twist even when wet, and which exhibits excellent comfort when worn. This absorbent article includes a liquid-absorbing absorption layer, and has a longitudinal direction, a width direction, and a thickness direction which are orthogonal to each other. The absorption layer is provided with an uneven structure (20) having, alternately arranged therein along the longitudinal direction, protrusions (21) which protrude towards the skin-facing surface side of the absorbent article in the thickness direction, and which continuously extend in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction, and recesses (22) which sink towards the non-skin-facing surface side of the absorbent article in the thickness direction, and which continuously extend in parallel with the protrusions (21).
