The invention relates to an elevator traction machine rack device and an elevator comprising the same. The elevator traction machine rack device comprises a first connecting plate (2), a damping element (3), a second connecting plate (4) and a single machine carrying beam (6). A traction machine (1) is fixed to the upper surface of the first connecting plate (2). The second connecting plate (4) isfixed to the upper surface of the machine carrying beam (6). The damping element (3) is fixedly mounted between the first connecting plate (2) and the second connecting plate (4). According to the traction machine rack device, the one machine carrying beam is adopted to replace two or more machine carrying beams of a traditional elevator, and the first connecting plate is adopted to replace a traction machine rack in the traditional elevator.
