Composition for glass polishing

The invention discloses a composition for glass polishing, which is suitable for polishing the surface of a flat panel display glass substrate. The composition is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 5 to 30 percent of silicon carbide powder, 0.1 to 2 percent of silicon dioxide sol, 1 to 5 percent of silicon carbide-silicon dioxide bridging agent, 0.1 to 2 percent of surface protective film forming agent, 0.05 to 0.1 percent of dispersing agent and the balance of deionized water.
