An embodiment of the invention provides a method for integrating a communication function in an application. The method comprises the steps of providing a conversation component which can be called bythe application; providing an interface module, a contact selector and a communication module in the conversation component; providing a data providing protocol interface in the conversation component; and providing a protocol interface connected with the application in the conversation component. According to the method, the communication function is integrated in the application, so that information exchange can be conveniently carried out between non-communication software users, and better experience is brought to the users.
