The power outage self-protection method comprises the following steps that an inverter converts the electrical energy of a power storage device into the normal power supply after an external power source of a system is disconnected, and a motor drives a manipulator and a parking and storing mechanism to move until the tail end of the manipulator is moved to the parking and storing mechanism. The invention further relates to the industrial robot achieving the power outage self-protection method.
