The attractant is composed of linalool, geraniol, methyl salicylate, cis-3-hexene-l-ol and nonanal. The attractant is dissolved in dichloromethane and the solution is added on a latex plug drop by drop so that an attractant core is prepared after natural volatilization. Through combination of the attractant core and a sticky coloured card, the trapping and killing device using the Colaspoides opaca Jacoby attractant is formed.
