The control device is used for detecting the total current of circuits where the air conditioners are located. The control method of the air conditioners comprises the following steps that after a start command is received, whether prolonged start information transmitted by the control device is received or not is detected, and when the control device receives start information and the total current is greater than a first preset threshold value, the prolonged start information is transmitted to the air conditioners; and when the prolonged start information is received, the start prolonging duration is obtained, and the air conditioners are controlled to operate according to the start prolonging duration so that start time of all the air conditioner cannot be overlapped.
