The invention discloses an automatic test method and system for applications. The method comprises the steps that a client is triggered by a continuous integration platform to be started, and the continuous integration platform completes compiling of an application installation package through tested application source code information and test source code information of an integration function module; the started client deploys a test environment to a terminal connected with the client; a test of the applications is started in the test environment, wherein the applications are installed to the terminal through the application installation package by the continuous integration platform; the testing process of the applications in the terminal is monitored to obtain a test result; and the test result is returned to the continuous integration platform.
