The solid super-strong base catalyst for preparing the propylene glycol monoethyl ether is compound metal oxide modified through a modifying agent, wherein the modifying agent is prepared from one or more of KOH, KF, KNO3, K2CO3 and KHCO3. The catalyst disclosed by theinvention is not easy to run away, is long in service life and has no corrosion on equipment; no three wastes are generated and the catalyst is safe and environmentally friendly; the conversion rateof epoxy propane is 100 percent, the yield of the propylene glycol monoethyl ether is 97 to 98 percent and the selectivity of primary ether is 95 to 96 percent. 本发明公开了种用于制备丙二醇单乙醚的固体超强碱催化剂及其应用,所述的用于制备丙二醇单乙醚的固体超强碱催化剂,为通过经修饰剂的改性复合金属氧化物,所述的修饰剂包括KOH、KF、KNO、KCO或KHCO中的种以上。本发明的催化剂,不易流失,使用寿命长,对设备无腐蚀性,无三废产生,安全环保,环氧丙烷的转化率为100%,丙二醇单乙醚的收率为97~98%,伯醚选择性为95~96%。
