The embodiment of the invention relates to a dot matrix-based identification method, including the following steps: enabling an identification device to acquire image data of a first size of a passeddot matrix area, and recording the acquisition time of the image data; performing binarization processing on the image data to obtain a first dot matrix image of the first size; intercepting a seconddot matrix image of a second size; performing dot matrix identification processing on the second dot matrix image to obtain a plurality of dot matrix points; connecting the dot matrix points in a characteristic dot matrix group, and determining a connecting direction; selecting a center point of the second dot matrix image, and generating a grid according to the spacing distance and the connectingdirection; obtaining coded information in the second dot matrix image according to the direction that the dot matrix points shift from the center point of the grid; generating coordinate informationof a target point; generatin
