The invention discloses a main engine installation supporting device for a novel elevator. A supporting beam is fixedly connected with the upper ends of counterweight guide rails of the elevator, andthe upper side of the supporting beam is connected with a main engine in a supporting mode. The bottom of a front supporting beam body and the bottom of a rear supporting beam body are fixedly connected through bottom plates, and the middles of the lower surfaces of the bottom plates are fixedly connected with the upper ends of the counterweight guide rails. Reinforcing ribs are fixedly connectedbetween the front supporting beam body and the rear supporting beam body. A counterweight rope hitch plate is arranged at the bottom of the front supporting beam body and the bottom of the rear supporting beam body.
