The invention provides a method of sharing an SIM card and mobile terminals. The method of sharing the SIM card comprises the steps of receiving an SIM card access request signal from at least one second mobile terminal without the SIM card by a first mobile terminal, wherein the first mobile terminal has the SIM card so as to serve as a server without a fixed IP address; transmitting a security authentication information request signal to the at least one second mobile terminal according to the SIM card access request signal; and receiving the security authentication information from the at least one second mobile terminal, and then determining, according to the security authentication information, whether to transmit elementary file data of the SIM card to the at least one second mobileterminal, wherein the elementary file data of the SIM card is used by the second mobile terminal to use a communication function of the SIM card.
