The method includes: obtaining a to-be-recognized face image; generating a surface texture image and a muscle texture image according to the obtained face image; determining a face contour symmetry condition of the face image according to the surface texture image; determining a face muscle symmetry condition of the face image according to the muscle texture image; and generating a suggestion for adjusting the face symmetry according to the face contour symmetry condition andthe face muscle symmetry condition.
