The invention discloses a method and a system for automatically detecting a keyboard plate. The system comprises a processor, a traverse driver, a first cylinder driver, a second cylinder driver, a traverse mechanism, a first cylinder, a second cylinder, a keyboard plate detection seat, a probe and a bracket. The probe is electrically connected with the processor. The first cylinder driver is electrically connected with the first cylinder. The second cylinder driver is electrically connected with the second cylinder. The traverse driver is electrically connected with the traverse mechanism. The traverse mechanism is mounted on the bracket. The keyboard plate detection seat is provided with a keyboard plate mounting position; the probe is located in the keyboard plate mounting position, andthe probe is electrically connected with the processor; and the probe is arranged on the first cylinder. The traverse mechanism controls the movement of the cylinders, the processor controls the expansion and contraction of
