The invention relates to a partition wall strip plate and in particular relates to a partition wall strip plate prepared from red mud and a preparation method thereof. The partition wall strip plate is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 55 percent to 80 percent of the red mud, 10 percent to 30 percent of aggregate and 5 percent to 25 percent of additive; the additive is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 65 to 80 parts of silicate, 5 to 10 parts of borate, 5 to 10 parts of sulfate, 1 to 5 parts of phosphate, 1 to 3 parts of hydroxide,3 to 5 parts of halogen salt and 1 to 5 parts of lignosulfonate. According to the partition wall strip plate prepared by the invention, grain surface chemical modification, combination of substances between grains, generation of gel substances and formation of various crystal structure substances can be directly or indirectly carried out on the red mud under the action of the additive; the prepared partition wall strip pl
