The invention discloses a method for planting potted lotuses. The method comprises the following steps that 1) seeds are soaked in water, floating shrivelled seeds are picked out, sinking seeds with full particles are reserved, and then the reserved seeds are manually broken to make little tip buds exposed out of the seeds; 2) the seeds after the breakage are put into water for soaking and germination acceleration, water is changed once every day, and the seeds are placed under an illumination condition with the light intensity of 3,000-5,000 lux for light supplementation; 3) sludge is taken from a pond and put into planting pots, bone meal and fertilizer are scattered, and water is added for soaking the seeds for 5-9 days; 4) after each seed germinates and grows two young shoots, the germinating seeds are taken out, buried in the sludge of the planting pots and transferred to the place under natural light.
