Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a new monitoring and identification method for cable faults of a flexible DC transmission system. According to the method, changes of the running current of a load end at an ACside of a converter station are monitored in real time, the changes are compared with theoretically derived fault signal parameters so as to analyze and identify the fault type, thereby providing aneffective and accurate operation basis for control protection for the flexible DC transmission system. The difficulty of the method lies in the extraction of effective fault information and the filtering of interference signals. Therefore, the method applies computer wavelet time entropy to process running current signals, and the accuracy is improved. The fault monitoring and identification method disclosed by the invention can avoid the embarrassment that other method can only perform off-line monitoring, is high in accuracy and low in cost and can perfect a fault information knowledge module in the process of integr
