The invention further discloses a method for detecting the genes.The method comprises the following steps of extracting a rice sample genome DNA to be detected; utilizing a primer pair for performing PCR amplification; detecting whether a resistance gene donor parent and a receptor parent needing to be improved have polymorphism or not, if the polymorphism exists, judging whether a rice sample to be detected contains strong blast resistance genes Pi-2 or Pi-gmor Pi-zt genes or not according to a PCR amplification product.
