The invention discloses a modular type scaffold and an erecting method thereof. The modular type scaffold comprises a plurality of connecting pipe fittings. The connecting pipe fittings comprise the vertical pipe fittings serving as the vertical height, the transverse pipe fittings serving as the horizontal length and the longitudinal pipe fittings serving as the horizontal width. The modular typescaffold further comprises connecting pieces and a plate frame. The plate frame at least comprises a supporting plate mounted at the lower end of the scaffold and protection plates mounted on the side faces of the scaffold.
