The winding apparatus has at least one wire feeding device (2a, 2b) which feeds the winding wire (4) to the winding unit (1) in a feeding direction (Y) in order to wrap the winding blade device (10); furthermore, a transporting device (3) which is designed to transport the winding wire (4) wound up on the winding blade device (10) to form a wave winding in a transporting direction (X) parallel to the winding axis (A).
