Provided is a molding sand regeneration method characterized by: removing metal powder and metal fragments by magnetic separation with a first magnetic flux density and removing magnetically adhering material by magnetic separation with a second fluxdensity higher than the first flux density from molding sand S that has been separated from a casting by a shot blast; and removing, from the molding sand, material that includes carbides adhering tothe surface of the molding sand by dry mechanical regeneration. 本发明提供种将磁化物从模砂有效地分离的模砂的再生方法及再生系统。本发明提供的模砂的再生方法的特征包括:以通过抛丸从铸件分离的模砂S为对象,利用第1磁通密度的磁选来去除金属粉及金属片,利用较上述第1磁通密度要高的第2磁通密度的磁选来去除磁化物;及利用干式的机械再生来从上述模砂中去除附着在表面的包含碳化物的物质。
