The SNP molecular marker comes from an LOC_Os08g31580 gene, and is located at a rice No.8 chromosome 19, 859bp position with a base being C or T. The SNP molecular marker is remarkablyrelevant to the rice seedling root length; the seedling root length of a rice variety with a locus genotype being T/T is remarkably larger than that of a rice variety with a locus genotype being C/C.Meanwhile, a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) primer is designed according to a SNP locus, and a nucleotide sequence of the primer is as shown in SEQ ID No.2 and SEQ ID No.3.
