The invention discloses a preparation method of carbon-coated tin dioxide nanoparticles. The method comprises the following steps of (1) selecting an organic tin compound and an oxidant as raw materials and mixing the organic tin compound with the oxidant evenly; (2) adding a control agent for controlling the uniformity of reaction and the shapes and forms of tin dioxide nanoparticles; (3) heatingthe evenly mixed raw materials and the control agent and carrying out heat preservation for a period of time; and (4) cooling to room temperature and carrying out aftertreatment on a product obtainedin the step (3) to obtain the carbon-coated tin dioxide nanoparticles. Through selection and proportioning of the organic tin compound, the oxidant and the control agent, the carbon-coated tin dioxide nanoparticles can be prepared through an oxidation technology under a low temperature condition.
