The invention discloses a method for determining a failure mode in autonomous integrity monitoring of an advanced receiver. A probability accumulation type failure mode determination method is put forward for definition of a maximum failure number, a failure mode, a monitoring sub set and a non-monitored fault probability in autonomous integrity monitoring of an advanced receiver; and determination of a failure mode is combined with calculation of the maximum failure number, the probability of the monitoring sub set, and the on-monitored fault probability for solution. According to the method,determination and elimination of a monitoring sub set that can not be observed are embedded into traverse of the sub set, so that the calculation method of the non-monitored fault probability is simplified and a potential safety hazard that the sum of probabilities of the rest of monitored sub sets is lower than the integrity risk threshold after removing of the monitoring sub set that can not beobserved is eliminated.
