The embodiment of the invention relates to a method for reducing power consumption of a terminal. The terminal is characterized by comprising a camera and a display screen. The method comprises the steps of: starting the recording mode of the camera by the terminal; judging whether the terminal is in a stationary state or not; and if so, turning off the display screen.
