The method comprises the steps of applying a cell lysis buffer for extracting total RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) in the retinal pigment epithelium, carrying out in-vitro reverse transcription synthesis and applying a real-time fluorescence quantification PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) instrument for quantitative determination.
