The invention relates to a method for detecting an image abnormality category of a photographic device, which comprises the steps of: starting image detection of the photographic device; starting up the photographic device to shoot a test video; loading a reference image; capturing X test images from the test video; respectively comparing the X test images with the reference image, and generatingan image test sequence with X abnormality image characteristics; and according to the image test sequence, determining the image abnormality category of the photographic device.
