The invention discloses a nine-square Chinese-character input method based on a touch screen. According to the method, a Chinese-character input area is obtained by dividing in the touch screen, explicit or implicit virtual separating lines are used to separate the same into 3x3 nine-square checks, and all the checks correspond to digits 1-9 according to a left-to-right and up-to-down order; and first-three standard strokes and last standard strokes of single-component characters in Chinese characters are acquired, first-two standard strokes of first parts of multiple-component characters in the Chinese characters and first standard strokes and last standard strokes of second parts are acquired, digits corresponding to checks of a track of each acquired stroke in writing and shapes of thestroke in the track checks form a code of the stroke, and a code sequence of four acquired standard strokes of each Chinese character forms a code of the Chinese character.
