The invention relates to water-based one-component special clear primer and a production process thereof. The water-based one-component special clear primer is prepared from the following raw materials: 70-90% of waterborne acrylic resin, 2-10% of a film forming agent, 0.1-1% of a dispersing agent, 0.1-1% of a wetting agent, 0.1-1% of a leveling agent, 0.1-1% of a rheological agent, 0.1-1% of a defoaming agent and 3-15% of water.
