The embodiment of the invention provides a playing method and a playing apparatus for a media file, which are applied to a mobile terminal. The method comprises the following steps: determining a scene time interval where a current playing time is, wherein the scene time interval is determined according to a historical playing time information of continuously playing the media file by the mobile terminal; determining a play list corresponding to the scene time interval, wherein the paly list contains the media file corresponding to the scene time interval; and playing the media in the play list.
