Zusammenfassung:Provided are: an aluminum alloy plate for tabs, which can be produced at low cost and has both high strength and excellent bending properties; and a method for producing the aluminum alloy plate. Thealuminum alloy plate for tabs has a chemical composition containing 0.01 to 0.20% by mass of Si, 0.01 to 0.35% by mass of Fe, 0.005 to 0.15% by mass of Cu, 0.005 to 0.50% by mass of Mn, 4.0 to 5.0% bymass of Mg, 0.005 to 0.15% by mass of Cr and a remainder made up by Al and unavoidable impurities, and also has such a texture that the cube orientation density in the whole area extending from the center of the plate to the surface of the plate as observed in the thickness direction is 1.5 times or more that of a random orientation sample. The 0.2% yield strength of the aluminum alloy plate is 280 to 360 MPa.
