Zusammenfassung: | A method and a device are for determining the rotation angle of a rotor-stator device. The rotor-stator device has a slip ring arrangement for transferring data between rotor and stator. In an embodiment, the device includes a signal conductor, essentially ring-shaped or ring-segment-shaped, fixed to a ring-shaped support structure; a transmitter for injecting a data signal into the signal conductor; and a receiver for reading the data signal out from the signal conductor. The transmitter and receiver move in opposite directions synchronously with the rotation between rotor and stator. According to an embodiment of the method, a signal is injected into the signal conductor. The signal is used to generate a metrologically detectable characteristic from which the rotation angle is ascertained.
