Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides an electrophotographic photosensitive member. The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layerincludes a charge generating agent, a cavity transport agent and a binder resin. The binder resin contains a polycarbonate resin represented by the general formula (1). In the general formula (1), R1-R6 are independent respectively and each represent a hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group; R11-R18 are independent respectively and each represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group or a phenyl group;and X represents single-bond or C1-C2 alkylene. The alkylene represents methylene or 1,2 ethylidene, the alkylene can have C1-C3 alkyl groups. Y represents single-bond or oxygen atoms, k represents an integer above zero, l represents a positive integer, and k+l=100. Formula (1) is shown in the description.
