Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a preparation method and application of a heavy metal free polyester polycondensation catalyst. The preparation method comprises the following steps: performing a stirring reaction on an aluminum compound, an alkali substance and ethylene glycol for one hour at 50-90 DEG C so as to obtain an intermittent solution, cooling the intermittent solution to the room temperature, adding an acetate and a stabilizer phosphorus compound, further heating to 90-160 DEG C, performing a stirring reaction for one hour, and cooling to the room temperature, thereby obtaining a stable catalyst solution. The catalyst can be used as a polycondensation catalyst for synthesizing polyethylene glycol terephthalate, and can be added together with reaction substances before an esterificationreaction, or is added before a polymer reaction after the esterification reaction, the catalyst is free of heavy metals, and the activity and the performance of the catalyst are equivalent to those ofan antimony catalyst.
