The BiOX microrod appears for the first time in the scientific research field; moreover, the synthesis method comprises the step of carrying out a thermal reaction on an aqueous solution containing Bi, [C6O7H5] and X, wherein the amount-of-substance ratio of the Bi to the [C6O7H5] in the aqueous solution is 1 to (0.8 to 1.2); X is one of Cl, Br and I.
