The invention discloses a gel maker and an application method thereof. The gel maker comprises a gel making plate, a comb and a box sleeve. The box sleeve sleeves the gel making plate, and is providedwith a guide groove and a slot. The comb is inserted into the slot. At least one side plate of the box sleeve is movable. The gel maker further comprises an extending mechanism. The extending mechanism is arranged in the guide groove, and is connected the movable side plate. The movable side plate tightens and clamps the gel making plate in the box sleeve through extension movement of the extending mechanism. Horizontal U-shaped clamping grooves with omega-shaped cross sections are designed in contact portions between the side plate of the box sleeve and two ends of the gel making plate. Horizontal silica gel strips with the omega-shaped cross sections are clamped into the clamping grooves to facilitate sealing of the two ends of the gel making plate.
