Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for charging an electrically operated vehicle with the aid of a charging cable which is formed with a residual current arrangement for detecting a direct current. According to the invention, a charging process to be performed once again is identified by the charging cable, and a calibration of the residual current arrangement is performed before the charging process.
