Information display control method and mobile terminal

Embodiments of the invention disclose an information display control method. The method comprises the following steps of: when a mobile terminal is located in a first display state, detecting whethera trigger operation exists or not, wherein the first display state represents that a display area of the mobile terminal is at least located in an alight state; if the trigger operation is detected, switching the display area of the mobile terminal from the first display state to a second display state on the basis of the trigger operation; and when the display area of the mobile terminal is located in the second display state, displaying a first target sub-area in the display area and displaying at least one piece of information obtained by a target application in the first target sub-area, wherein the target application is an application obtaining at least one piece of information from at least one other application through a system interface.
