A catalyst for direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide

The present invention provides a catalyst comprising: a platinum group metal, silver or gold, and a carrier containing niobium or tantalum oxide or niobium or tantalum phosphate, and an oxide other than niobium or tantalum oxide, as well as its use in production of hydrogen peroxide.
