The method comprises the following steps of acquiring at least one receiving object selected by a sending user when an instruction for sending private information on the public channel by the sending user is received; receiving sending data input by the sending user, and carrying out encryption processing on the sending data to obtain encrypted data; and displaying a default image corresponding to the encrypted data on the public channel.
