Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a method for converting methyl alcohol to synthesize methylal and ethylene glycol in a photocatalytic mode. The method comprises the following steps: adding a semiconductor photocatalyst for modifying a catalyst promoter into absolute methanol, adding concentrated acid, introducing inert atmospheres such as nitrogen gas under magnetic force or mechanical stirring, sufficiently replacing oxygen gas in a system, starting a mercury lamp or an xenon lamp or an LED lamp to react for 1-100 hours, further converting the methyl alcohol into methylal and ethylene glycol throughone-step method, performing solid-liquid separation, and separating methylal and ethylene glycol from the raw material methyl alcohol to separately obtain methylal and ethylene glycol. The method hasthe advantages of being simple in process, high in conversion rate, good in selectivity, low in cost and environmentally friendly.
