The fiber coiling method includes the steps: according to the fiber diameter, determining the minimum radius for fiber coiling, and according to the demand for the light beam quality level, determining the maximum radius for fiber coiling; and according to the determined minimum radius and maximum radius, performing fiber coiling. The fiber coiling method can reduce the macrobend loss of laser in the fiber, can reduce generation of high order mode in the fiber, can improve the light beam quality, and can solvethe problem that a traditional coiling method can certainly cause fiber flying (fiber flying means that an inner ring fiber end head is cocked to connect with other components).
