The method mainly comprises a step of determining a grid operation static safety expected goal according to actual demands, a step of orderly calculating a line flow over-limit severity index S1 and a node voltage over-limit severity index Qb in an N-1 line fault based on a power system flow calculation method containing energy storage, and increasing an energy storage device configuration capacity accessed to a grid side power transmission fault surface by a step length, and a step of verifying an energy storage actual operation constraint and outputting a capacity optimization result. According to the method, the energy storage device configuration capacity of a grid side can be quickly determined under the condition of satisfying a static security constraint of the grid.
