The invention discloses a WeChat-based TV remote control method, which comprises the steps of establishing a WeChat TV platform based on a WeChat public service platform; calling, by a set-top box, aWeChat TV platform interface to acquire a two-dimension code; using, by a user, the WeChat to scan the two-dimensional code to realize binding; sending, by the user, a remote control command or pushing a program to the set-top box through the WeChat TV platform; and the user remotely controlling the TV by simply using a mobile phone, without the need to download and install any application.
