System and method for realizing cordless telephone function based on WIFI

The invention relates to a system and method for realizing a cordless telephone function based on WIFI. The system comprises a registration control module used for managing the registration of a VOIPclient connected to a gateway device via the WIFI and the binding relation with a telephone port of the gateway device; a call control module used for completing the call control of the VOIP client connected to the gateway device via the WIFI; a media processing module used for accomplishing media forwarding of the VOIP client connected to the gateway device via the WIFI; and a WIFI module used for completing data receiving and sending based on a WIFI wireless network.
