Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an FMCW radar device for determining the distance of an object from an element of the radar device. It is a disadvantage with FMCW radar devices from the prior art that same are neither suited for measuring distances of a stationary or only slowly moving object with high resolution nor can said systems determine the distance of a quickly moved object with low resolution. In contrast, the aim of the present invention is to provide a radar device which enables the distance to be determined between the transmitter antenna or receiver antenna and a quickly moved object with high resolution. According to the invention, in order to achieve this aim, an FMCW radar device is proposed, wherein a predetermined time interval for the change in radar frequency is 100 [mu]s or less, the controllable oscillator is configured such that while the radar device is operating the radar frequency can be tuned within the predetermined time interval via a tuning bandwidth of at least 4 GHz, and the p
