The method comprises the steps of determining reminding starting time and reminding starting step number; obtaining accumulated walking step number of a user within a current step count period starting from the reminding starting time according to a preset step count period; determining whether the user is in a static state or not according to the reminding starting step number and the accumulated walking step number of the user within the current step count period; and performing reminding operation when time difference between the current time and the reminding starting time reaches a preset time interval if the user is in the static state.
